【Sport】Red Bull Art of Motion 2011 Kuwait
Two hundred guests packed into the impressive ballroom of Laila Cinema to enjoy a very special evening that recognized and rewarded the World's best Free-running and Parkours Athletes that participated in the Red Bull Art of Motion Kuwait.
Team Warbah comprised of Timothy Shieff from the UK, Sergio Cora from Spain, Will Sutton from the UK and Kevin Fluri from Switzerland won the Red Bull Art of Motion in Kuwait after receiving the majority of the Athletes votes. Team Qarouh finished second while team Miskan took the third place. 19 years old Vinnie Coryell from the USA won the MINI Sickest Trick Award for performing a "Roll Bomb".
The short video clips filmed and created by the five teams were continuously applauded by the audience attending the premiere. Speaking about this incredible and unique event Tim Shieff of Team Warbah stated: "I am glad that our team managed to win. We all were excited to come to the Red Bull Art of Motion in Kuwait. We didn't know what to expect from Failaka Island. In 36 hours we managed to explore all the island and now I can say we received unforgettable memories."
Red Bull Art of Motion in Kuwait started on November 16 at 5am and lasted for 36 hours. Each team equipped with cameras drove their MINI´s all the way around Failaka searching for the best shots to film their unique moves. The two-day competition challenged the participants to navigate the natural obstacles of the historical island of Failaka -- demonstrating a captivating blend of free-running, parkour, martial arts and gymnastics along the way.
